Remote Network Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage their global network infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our client's network systems, supporting critical business operations worldwide. The role requires deep technical expertise in network architecture, routing, switching, and network security, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently. You will collaborate with various IT teams to deploy new network solutions and maintain existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing timely support to internal users and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve performance and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure design and management.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security best practices.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
