Security System Installer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Security System Installer to join their team, servicing the Sandton area with a hybrid work arrangement. This role is crucial for designing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of security and client satisfaction through professional installations and ongoing support. This position offers a compelling blend of hands-on field work and remote system configuration and monitoring, fitting perfectly within the Installation & Maintenance field.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarm panels, and access control readers.
• Perform site surveys to assess security needs and recommend appropriate system designs.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security equipment and systems.
• Provide end-user training on the operation of installed security systems.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and system configurations.
• Respond to emergency service requests and provide ongoing maintenance support.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security System Installer or in a related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• Proficiency with installation tools, testing equipment, and wiring techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret system schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in Sandton and surrounding areas, and work a hybrid schedule that balances field and remote tasks.
