Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and laboratory testing.
• Analyze soil and rock mass properties to assess stability of slopes, excavations, and infrastructure.
• Develop geotechnical models and provide design recommendations for mine support systems, tailings dams, and surface infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for geotechnical hazards.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and present findings to project teams and clients.
• Monitor construction and operational phases for compliance with geotechnical design requirements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with significant exposure to the mining industry.
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W).
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration is a plus.
