Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic player in the FMCG sector, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation and warehousing operations. This fully remote position allows you to manage critical supply chain functions from anywhere, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from production to consumers. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of logistics principles and excels in a fast-paced, remote work environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain across Mossel Bay and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Resolve any logistics-related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and prepare reports on key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and TMS systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
