Events Sales Executive

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and results-driven Events Sales Executive to join their dynamic team in Bloemfontein. This role is responsible for generating leads and securing bookings for banquets, conferences, and other events hosted at their premier venue. You will develop and nurture client relationships, understand their needs, and present tailored event solutions that align with the venue's offerings. This position requires a strategic sales approach and excellent communication skills to drive business growth within the Free State region's event market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the events market to achieve sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and potential customers.
• Conduct site inspections and present venue capabilities and service offerings effectively.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable event bookings.
• Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless handover and execution of booked events.
• Prepare sales reports and forecasts accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality, events, or venue management industry.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales-related tools.
• Strong understanding of the events and conferencing market.
