Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to enhance and manage production processes at their facility in Rustenburg . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the manufacturing floor. You will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, implementing quality control measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet output targets. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing equipment malfunctions and process deviations promptly.
• Implement and refine quality control procedures throughout the production lifecycle.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction .
• Develop and deliver training programs for production staff on new equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of production methodologies , quality assurance systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using production planning and data analysis software .
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
