Remote UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Remote UX/UI Designer to join their digitally-focused product team, supporting initiatives based out of Mossel Bay. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in crafting intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user experiences for web and mobile applications. You will translate user needs and business requirements into seamless digital interfaces, conducting user research, creating wireframes, prototyping, and finalizing visual designs. This is a unique opportunity for a user-centric designer to shape digital products from concept to launch while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work environment and contributing to advancements in user experience design.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective user experiences.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and business objectives.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital product design projects.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing methodologies.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively in a remote setting.
