About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics and Fleet Manager to oversee their transportation operations in Cape Town . Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and fuel management.


• Develop and implement efficient route planning strategies to minimize delivery times and operational costs.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.


• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of drivers and logistics staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.


• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.


• Oversee vehicle acquisition, disposal, and lease agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, fleet operations, or transportation.


• Proven experience with fleet management software and transportation management systems (TMS).


• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and DOT compliance.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work effectively in both an office and field environment.
