About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Leisure Centre Manager to lead operations at their facility in Tembisa . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the centre, managing staff, overseeing facility upkeep, and enhancing the overall member and visitor experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and recreation, coupled with strong business acumen and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for driving membership growth, managing budgets, and ensuring the centre meets the community's recreational needs effectively, contributing to a vibrant and active local environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the leisure centre, including staff scheduling, facility maintenance, and program delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, program participation, and revenue streams.
- Manage the centre's budget, controlling operational costs and maximizing profitability.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service, resolving member inquiries and complaints promptly.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate centre staff, fostering a positive and professional team atmosphere.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leisure centre management
- or a similar role in the hospitality or recreation industry.
- Strong understanding of facility operations

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and marketing initiatives.
