Key Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Create innovative and seasonal menus for the pastry section, aligned with current culinary trends.
• Manage the pastry kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and quality control.
• Ensure adherence to all food safety and hygiene standards within the pastry department.
• Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering skill development and maintaining team morale.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and special event requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar specialized baking role.
• Expertise in classic and contemporary patisserie techniques, including bread, cake, and dessert making.
• Strong understanding of baking science and ingredient interactions.
• Excellent eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing food presentations.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory and cost control.
• Culinary qualifications and a portfolio showcasing exceptional pastry creations are highly desirable.
