Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a data-driven Procurement Analyst to enhance their purchasing strategies in Nelspruit . This analytical role focuses on gathering, interpreting, and reporting on procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize supplier performance, and improve overall supply chain efficiency. You will work closely with the procurement team and various business units to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. This hybrid position offers flexibility, combining essential on-site collaboration with the ability to perform detailed analysis remotely, supporting operations across the Mpumalanga region. This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst passionate about optimizing procurement processes through data.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data, including spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Develop detailed reports and dashboards to visualize key procurement metrics and insights.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk reduction within the supply chain.
• Support the procurement team in strategic sourcing initiatives through data analysis and market research.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
• Assist in the development of procurement policies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement analysis, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and ideally BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
