Social Worker - Family Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and empathetic Social Worker specializing in Family Services to join their team in Cape Town . In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive support to families facing various challenges, including child protection, relationship difficulties, and socio-economic hardships. You will conduct assessments, offer counseling, and connect families with appropriate community resources to foster resilience and stability. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of individuals and families.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to address identified needs.
• Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate care.
• Prepare detailed case reports and maintain accurate client documentation.
• Facilitate workshops and support groups for families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW).
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• At least 3 years of experience in family support or child welfare services.
• Proficiency in assessing family dynamics and providing evidence-based interventions.
• Strong understanding of the legal and ethical frameworks governing social work practice in South Africa .
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
