About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Remote Catering Operations Manager to lead their dispersed catering operations. This pivotal role will involve overseeing all logistical and operational aspects of catering services, ensuring efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction, all managed from a remote setting. You will be responsible for developing operational strategies, managing remote teams, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement across the service. This is a unique opportunity to shape and manage a critical function for a dynamic catering provider servicing clients nationwide, based out of Soweto .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and service quality for all catering events.
• Manage and mentor a team of remote catering staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
• Oversee the entire catering process, from order intake and menu planning to production, delivery, and client feedback, from a remote location.
• Optimize resource allocation, inventory management, and cost control measures to maximize operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain robust quality control and safety standards across all catering operations.
• Utilize technology and data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in catering operations management or a similar senior role within the hospitality industry.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and operations effectively.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, supply chain management, and operational best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
