Social Impact Officer

About the Role

Our client, a dedicated charity organization, is seeking a passionate Social Impact Officer to contribute to their transformative work in Soweto . This role is central to monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the impact of the organization's programs, ensuring that interventions are effective and achieving their intended outcomes. You will work closely with program teams and beneficiaries to gather data, analyze results, and communicate the organization's successes and areas for improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks for various projects.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data on program impact.
• Prepare comprehensive impact reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and external audiences.
• Identify best practices and lessons learned to inform future program design and implementation.
• Support program teams in data collection and impact assessment methodologies.
• Contribute to the organization's learning agenda and knowledge management efforts.

Requirements

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), research, or program management, preferably within the social development sector .
• Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency with statistical software or tools.
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
• Understanding of social impact measurement principles and methodologies.
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community members.
• Commitment to the organization's mission and a passion for creating positive social change in Soweto .
