About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Nelspruit . This role involves the design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems for aircraft. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all electrical components and subsystems, from power generation to avionics interfaces. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to the demanding environment of aviation, contributing to cutting-edge aircraft development and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical system architecture and components for aircraft applications.
- Perform detailed electrical load analysis, power distribution design, and wiring harness routing.
- Integrate electrical systems with other aircraft subsystems (e.g., avionics, hydraulics).
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address electrical system requirements and issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer or similar aerospace role.
- Expertise in aircraft electrical power systems, wiring, and connectors.
- Familiarity with avionics systems integration and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Understanding of aviation standards and certification processes.
