About the Role
Our client is offering a valuable opportunity to become a Trainee Boilermaker Apprentice in Richards Bay . This apprenticeship is designed for individuals who are passionate about metal fabrication and construction, providing comprehensive training in the skills required to construct, assemble, and install boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels. You will work under the guidance of experienced boilermakers, learning essential techniques in welding, cutting, and fitting metal components. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Learn and practice various welding techniques (e.g., MMAW , MIG, TIG) under supervision.
- Gain proficiency in using cutting tools, grinders, and other metalworking equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for fabrication projects.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent, with passes in Mathematics and Physical Science.
- A strong interest in metalwork and fabrication.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical strength.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn the trade.
- Must be able to pass a trade test upon completion of the apprenticeship.
