Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Our client, a key supplier to the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a diligent Quality Control Inspector to oversee product and process quality for their operations in and around Upington. This role is critical in ensuring that all materials, components, and finished products meet stringent industry standards and customer specifications. You will conduct inspections, tests, and measurements, identify non-conformities, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions. This position offers a chance to contribute directly to the integrity and reliability of products used in critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process work, and finished goods.
• Perform various tests and measurements using calibrated equipment to verify compliance with specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately, identifying and reporting any non-conformities or defects.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all quality control activities comply with company policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and client requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in Upington.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience within the Oil & Gas supply chain is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and quality standards.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production staff in Upington.
