Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Richards Bay . This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the organization's information security strategy, ensuring the protection of valuable data and systems against a wide range of cyber threats. You will manage a team of security professionals, oversee security operations, and collaborate with senior management to align security goals with business objectives. This hybrid role requires a leader who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution, fostering a security-conscious culture across the organization. You will be pivotal in shaping the future of our digital defense capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security program.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
• Oversee security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
• Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
• Report on security posture, risks, and initiatives to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; CISSP or CISM certification is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing enterprise-wide security strategies and programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, compliance, and incident response.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
