About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their virtual team, supporting operations in Klerksdorp . This fully remote position focuses on optimizing and troubleshooting chemical processes from a distance, utilizing advanced data analytics and simulation tools. You will play a crucial role in enhancing plant efficiency, safety, and sustainability through remote monitoring and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with on-site teams via digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor, analyze, and optimize chemical plant processes using advanced data acquisition systems.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and energy conservation.
• Conduct virtual process simulations and troubleshoot operational issues remotely.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders via video conferencing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations through remote oversight.
• Collaborate closely with on-site plant engineers and operators to implement process changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a focus on optimization and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) and data analysis tools.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
• Strong understanding of chemical process safety and environmental compliance.
• Excellent virtual communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
