Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic operations team supporting the FMCG sector in Richards Bay . This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods from suppliers to distribution centers and ultimately to customers. You will manage inventory, coordinate transportation, and optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and maximize delivery performance. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory management for FMCG products .
• Optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery schedules.
• Liaise with shipping carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to track shipments and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock takes to ensure data integrity.
• Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, and transportation management principles.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work well under pressure.
• A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
