Site Engineer - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent and technically proficient Site Engineer to support infrastructure development projects in Polokwane . This role involves assisting the project manager and site manager in planning, executing, and supervising construction activities to ensure projects meet technical specifications and quality standards. You will be instrumental in site layout, setting out, quality control, and problem-solving on the ground. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and supervision of daily construction activities on site.
• Perform accurate site surveys, setting out, and measurements according to design plans.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure work meets specified standards.
• Manage site logistics, including materials, equipment, and personnel, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material quantities, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the construction site.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 1-3 years of experience in a site engineering or relevant construction role.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station) and CAD software .
• Good understanding of construction methods , materials, and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical information clearly.
