About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Senior Physicist with expertise in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics to join their research team in Randburg . This role involves leading investigations into novel materials and phenomena, utilizing advanced experimental techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate sophisticated experimental setups for condensed matter research.

• Collaborate with theoretical physicists and engineers to develop new materials and devices.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, with a specialization in Condensed Matter Physics.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in experimental physics research.
• Demonstrated expertise in techniques such as low-temperature measurements, spectroscopy, or advanced microscopy.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and experience with scientific instrumentation control.
• Strong understanding of quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, and materials science.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and lead research initiatives.
