About the Role

Our client in Richards Bay is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to lead their early learning classroom. This vital role involves nurturing young minds, fostering a love for learning, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 4-6. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cover a broad curriculum, including early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development, preparing students for primary school. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative and age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school administration.
• Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Foster social-emotional development, encouraging cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Proven experience as a Kindergarten or Foundation Phase teacher.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and pedagogy.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach.
