About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Agribusiness Consultant to provide strategic advice and support to agricultural businesses in the Stellenbosch region and beyond. This role involves analyzing business operations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing tailored strategies to enhance profitability, sustainability, and market competitiveness. You will work closely with farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural enterprises to help them navigate the complexities of the modern agricultural landscape within the agriculture and forestry sector. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of agribusiness operations, including financial, operational, and market analyses.
• Develop strategic business plans, marketing strategies, and operational improvements for agricultural clients.
• Advise clients on farm management, production techniques, financial planning, and risk management.
• Assist clients in accessing funding, grants, and other financial support mechanisms.
• Stay current with market trends, policy changes, and technological advancements impacting the agricultural sector in Stellenbosch.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, agribusiness, or a related agricultural management role.
• Strong understanding of agricultural economics, market dynamics, and business operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively advise clients in Stellenbosch.
