About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Signal Integrity Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team in Sandton. This hybrid role focuses on ensuring the integrity and performance of high-speed electrical signals within complex systems. You will analyze, design, and simulate signal paths to minimize noise, crosstalk, and other impairments. Working within a collaborative team, you'll balance on-site expertise with remote flexibility. This is a critical role for ensuring the reliable operation of advanced electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and design high-speed interconnects, PCBs, and connectors for optimal signal integrity.
- Perform electromagnetic interference (EMI) and signal integrity (SI) simulations using industry-standard tools.
- Identify and mitigate signal impairments such as reflections, crosstalk, and jitter.
- Develop test plans and conduct measurements to validate signal integrity performance.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure proper implementation of signal integrity requirements.
- Provide recommendations for design improvements and troubleshooting of signal integrity issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience specializing in signal integrity and power integrity.
- Proficiency with SI/PI simulation tools (e.g., HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, ADS).
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission line theory, and S-parameters.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and measurement techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for a hybrid work environment.
