Catering Staff - Event Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking energetic and service-oriented Catering Staff to provide support for various events in and around Polokwane . This role is vital for ensuring that all catering services are delivered professionally and efficiently, contributing to the success of client events. You will be involved in setup, service, and breakdown, interacting with guests and ensuring their catering needs are met with a smile, playing a key part in creating memorable experiences for attendees.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and catering equipment.
• Serve food and beverages to guests according to event requirements and service standards.
• Clear tables and maintain the cleanliness of the dining and service areas during events.
• Replenish food and beverage stations as needed.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of catering areas post-event.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality, customer service, or event staff role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry service items.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule to accommodate event times in Polokwane .
• A positive and proactive attitude towards service delivery.
