About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Infrastructure to join their team, operating remotely with potential site visits as required to projects near Polokwane . This critical role involves leading the design and implementation of large-scale electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency. You will oversee complex electrical systems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver robust solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, substations, and control systems.


• Conduct detailed load analysis , short-circuit calculations, and arc flash studies.


• Specify major electrical equipment and ensure compliance with stringent industry standards and safety regulations.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and design teams.


• Review and approve electrical design documentation, drawings, and specifications.


• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.


• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in electrical infrastructure design and project management.


• Proven expertise in high-voltage systems, power distribution networks, and substations.


• Familiarity with SCADA systems and control logic for infrastructure projects.


• Experience with industry-standard design and analysis software.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for remote team coordination.
