Senior VFX Artist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Senior VFX Artist to join their esteemed studio in Centurion . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating stunning visual effects that elevate the immersive quality of our projects. You will collaborate closely with the art and design teams to ensure that visual effects seamlessly integrate with the overall aesthetic and narrative. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement visually compelling special effects, including explosions, magic, environmental effects, and particle systems.
• Create and optimize VFX assets , ensuring they perform efficiently across target platforms.
• Work with game designers and programmers to integrate effects into gameplay and cinematics.
• Develop and maintain VFX pipelines and workflows to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with the art director to define and maintain the visual style of effects.
• Provide technical and artistic guidance to junior VFX artists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience creating visual effects for games or film.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and Unity/Unreal Engine VFX tools.
• Strong understanding of particle systems, fluid dynamics, and simulation techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, HLSL) is a plus.
• Excellent artistic eye and a strong sense of timing and motion.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
