Remote Wireless Network Specialist

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Wireless Network Specialist to enhance their wireless communication infrastructure. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of robust wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and high performance for our distributed user base. You will leverage your expertise in Wi-Fi, cellular, and other wireless technologies to troubleshoot issues, plan upgrades, and ensure the security and reliability of wireless services across various locations. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy enterprise‑grade wireless networks, including Wi‑Fi (802.11ax/ac/n) and potentially cellular technologies.
• Monitor wireless network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless connectivity issues, interference problems, and security threats.
• Develop and maintain wireless network documentation, including network maps, configuration standards, and security policies.
• Evaluate and recommend new wireless technologies and solutions to improve network capabilities and user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in wireless network design, deployment, and support.
• Strong knowledge of Wi‑Fi standards, RF principles, site surveys, and wireless security protocols (WPA3, RADIUS).
• Experience with enterprise wireless controllers and access points from major vendors.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and remote troubleshooting skills, with clear written and verbal communication.
