About the Role
Our client is seeking a licensed and customer-focused Pharmacist to join their busy retail pharmacy in Sandton . This role involves dispensing prescription medications, counseling patients on their use, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards of pharmacy practice. You will play a vital role in community health, providing essential pharmaceutical services and contributing to patient well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to physician orders.
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and health management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Conduct medication therapy management services and provide health screenings as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a practicing Pharmacist , preferably in a retail setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy dispensing software and inventory management systems.
