About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer focused on manufacturing and process improvement for their facility in Mahikeng . This role is vital for enhancing production efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the reliability of manufacturing equipment. You will analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative mechanical solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for mechanical improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement new mechanical systems or modifications to existing equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize CAD software for the design of fixtures, tooling, and automation components.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process integration.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process flows and equipment specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
- Proficiency with CAD software and a strong understanding of manufacturing machinery.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and control systems is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills and a results-oriented approach.
