About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Mechanical Engineer specializing in systems design to join their globally distributed engineering team, supporting their operations near Klerksdorp . This role is critical in conceptualizing, designing, and validating intricate mechanical systems that form the core of our client's innovative products. You will leverage your extensive technical expertise to drive projects from initial concept through to successful implementation, operating within a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring integration with other product subsystems.

• Develop detailed design documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings , and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with remote project managers, electrical engineers, and software developers to define system requirements and interfaces.
• Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues within integrated systems, providing timely and effective solutions.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical systems design and engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools relevant to complex systems.
• Proven experience in system-level design, integration, and validation.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage demanding projects independently.
