About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their advanced manufacturing processes in Bloemfontein. This role requires extensive experience in process design, optimization, and project execution within the chemical sector. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new chemical processes and modifications to existing ones.
- Conduct process simulations, P&ID development, and HAZOP studies.
- Manage engineering projects from conception through to commissioning, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, cost reduction, and yield improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in chemical process engineering, with proven project management capabilities.
- Expertise in process simulation software and advanced analytical techniques.
- Deep understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and plant safety.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with diverse teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
