Community Development Facilitator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic Community Development Facilitator to champion social initiatives and empower residents in Vereeniging . This hybrid role involves engaging directly with community members, identifying local needs, and coordinating programs that foster positive change and sustainable development. You will work collaboratively with local stakeholders, government agencies, and community groups to implement impactful projects. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about social upliftment and possesses strong facilitation and organizational skills, bridging the gap between community aspirations and tangible outcomes in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate community consultations and needs assessments to identify development priorities.
• Design and implement community-based programs focused on education, health, and economic empowerment.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with local government, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders.
• Mobilize community participation and resources for project success.
• Monitor project progress, evaluate impact, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
• Advocate for community interests and support marginalized groups in accessing services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in community facilitation, project management, or social work.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both remote tasks and on-site engagement.
• Strong understanding of community development principles and participatory approaches.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with the social and economic landscape of Vereeniging and surrounding areas.
