Our client, a versatile event catering service provider in East London , is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Staff to join their team for various events. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, setup, and breakdown at functions ranging from private parties to corporate events. You will be an integral part of ensuring our clients' events run smoothly and guests receive excellent service. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for individuals keen to gain experience in the dynamic events and hospitality industry in the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and service areas according to event plans.
- Serve food and beverages to guests professionally and courteously during events.
- Clear tables, manage service stations, and ensure the dining area remains clean and tidy throughout the event.
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup after events, including packing away equipment and returning the venue to its original state.
- Follow instructions from the Catering Manager or Supervisor to ensure smooth event execution and adherence to service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or customer service is a plus, but not required; a willingness to learn is key.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry moderate weight, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
