Operations Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Operations Coordinator to support the smooth functioning of their FMCG operations in the Soweto region. You will be responsible for coordinating various operational activities, including inventory management, logistics support, and administrative tasks to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency within Soweto, Gauteng . This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and supporting the operational teams to meet production and distribution targets. You will work closely with warehouse staff, logistics providers, and sales teams to ensure all operational aspects are managed effectively and align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operational activities, including inventory tracking, order processing, and dispatch schedules.
• Liaise with logistics partners to arrange transportation and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, conducting stock takes, and identifying discrepancies.
• Prepare operational reports, including performance metrics and stock status updates.
• Provide administrative support to the operations and warehouse management teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a qualification in Operations Management or a related field is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in operations coordination, logistics, or warehouse support, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment in Soweto .
