About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead key development and commercialization initiatives from their Bloemfontein office. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to achieve project milestones and strategic objectives, driving success in a critical role within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business field; Master's or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex drug development or commercialization projects.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain, from discovery to market.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
