Site Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee construction projects in the vibrant city of Pietermaritzburg . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and team coordination. You will play a pivotal role in translating project plans into tangible results, fostering a safe and productive work environment, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
• Relevant construction management qualification or equivalent experience.
