Information Security Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Information Security Compliance Officer to join their team in Nelspruit . This role is crucial for ensuring the organization adheres to relevant security regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and managing the overall security governance framework. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's information security compliance program.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with policies, standards, and regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Manage external audits and assessments, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in information security compliance , risk management, or internal audit.
• Strong knowledge of relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
