About the Role
Our client seeks an enthusiastic and driven Junior Architect to join their growing practice in Mossel Bay . This is an exceptional entry-level position for a recent graduate or early-career architect eager to learn and contribute to a wide range of architectural projects. You will work under the guidance of senior architects, assisting with design development, preparing technical drawings, and supporting project coordination. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in various project stages within the beautiful coastal region of the Western Cape and develop foundational skills in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior architects in the design development and documentation phases of projects.
- Prepare architectural drawings, models, and presentations using CAD and BIM software.
- Conduct research on materials, building codes, and design trends relevant to projects.
- Support project administration tasks, including document control and site observation.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Learn and apply firm standards and best practices in architectural design and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Zero to two years of experience in architectural practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and an eagerness to learn Revit .
- Basic understanding of architectural principles and building construction.
- Strong desire to learn and develop professionally within the field of architecture.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, adaptable to working in Mossel Bay .
