About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Aviation Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and standards. This is a remote-first position, allowing you to work from home while conducting site visits and audits as needed. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs to maintain the highest safety and operational integrity. This role is crucial for supporting aviation operations across various regions, including the North West province. You will be a key player in upholding our client's commitment to safety and regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain aviation compliance programs and policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of operational procedures, facilities, and documentation to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in aviation laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Investigate compliance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance reports and documentation for regulatory bodies and internal management.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aviation compliance, safety management, or a related regulatory role.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA, ICAO standards).
- Strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
