E-commerce Platform Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically adept E-commerce Platform Specialist to manage and optimize their online store. This role is critical for ensuring a seamless customer experience, driving website performance, and supporting all aspects of the e-commerce operations. You will work closely with the marketing, IT, and operations teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the integrity of the platform. This is an on-site position, providing the opportunity to collaborate directly with colleagues and leverage on-site resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring uptime and optimal performance.
• Implement and configure new features, integrations, and plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce website, including payment gateway problems and order processing errors.
• Work with developers and designers to implement website updates, A/B tests, and merchandising strategies.
• Monitor website performance, speed, and security, implementing necessary optimizations.
• Ensure product catalog accuracy, including descriptions, pricing, and inventory levels across the platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and maintaining an e-commerce platform (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce).
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their application in an e-commerce environment.
• Experience with website analytics and performance monitoring tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work collaboratively with IT and development teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• This is an on-site role requiring your presence at our Richards Bay office.
