Industrial Engineering Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Consultant to provide expert guidance and drive process improvements within their operations located in Upington . This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to analyze complex industrial systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement impactful solutions. As a consultant, you will leverage your extensive knowledge to advise on best practices, optimize workflows, and contribute to achieving significant operational gains. This is a contract position offering a dynamic engagement opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing industrial processes, identifying areas for optimization and cost reduction.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations for process improvements, operational enhancements, and technology adoption.
• Lead and facilitate workshops and training sessions on Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies.
• Design and implement new operational procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate closely with management and operational teams to ensure successful implementation of recommendations.
• Provide expert advice on facility layout, material handling, and production system design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations consulting.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Master Black Belt preferred), and change management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex operational improvement projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
