Head of Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Head of Operations to lead and shape the operational strategy for their expanding business in Soweto . This executive position holds ultimate responsibility for all operational functions, including strategy development, execution, and oversight of multiple departments to ensure efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth. You will be instrumental in driving innovation, optimizing performance, and fostering a culture of operational excellence across the entire organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of success in high-level operations management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overarching operational strategy to support company growth and market leadership.
• Direct and manage all operational departments, including production, supply chain, logistics, and quality assurance.
• Oversee the P&L for all operations, ensuring financial targets are consistently met or exceeded.
• Lead and mentor a team of senior managers and operational leaders, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas, leveraging data and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.

Requirements

• MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 7 years in an executive leadership role (e.g., Director, VP, Head of Operations).
• Demonstrated success in P&L management and driving significant revenue growth and profitability.
• Expertise in strategic planning and execution in complex organizations.
• Exceptional leadership, change management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage global supply chains and large-scale operations.
