About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their fully remote team. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, focusing on the design, analysis, and optimization of complex power grids and distribution networks. Key Responsibilities

• Design and model electrical power systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
• Perform detailed load flow analysis , short circuit studies, and transient stability simulations using specialized software.
• Develop protection schemes and coordination studies for power systems to ensure safety and reliability.
• Contribute to the planning and engineering of renewable energy integration projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documents for review and approval.
• Collaborate virtually with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, providing technical expertise and support.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in the design, analysis, and operation of electrical power systems.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of grid integration , renewable energy technologies, and energy market regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects independently.
