Junior Air Traffic Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and highly alert Junior Air Traffic Controller to join their vital team in Centurion . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic within assigned airspace. You will work in a dynamic control tower environment, closely coordinating with pilots and other controllers to manage aircraft movements. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control air traffic in assigned sectors, ensuring separation of aircraft and prevention of collisions.
• Communicate effectively with pilots using standard aviation phraseology for clearances and information.
• Monitor radar displays and other surveillance systems to track aircraft movements and identify potential conflicts.
• Coordinate with adjacent control sectors, ground control, and emergency services as required.
• Adhere strictly to all air traffic control procedures, regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Air Traffic Control training program.
• Possession of a valid Air Traffic Controller license or ability to obtain one post-training.
• Exceptional cognitive abilities, including concentration, memory, and spatial reasoning.
• Excellent decision-making skills under pressure and ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with clear and concise communication skills.
