Senior Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute significant electrical projects in Mossel Bay. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to implementation and final commissioning. This is a critical position within our operations, offering the chance to lead impactful projects and contribute to the company's growth in the Western Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of electrical engineering projects.
• Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and client specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering, with a strong background in electrical systems.
• Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, power systems, and control systems.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
