Lead Control Systems Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, programming, and commissioning of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).


• Develop and implement sophisticated control strategies and algorithms to optimize process performance and efficiency.


• Oversee the integration of control systems with other plant systems, including SCADA and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system reliability.


• Mentor and guide junior control systems engineers, foster best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of control system design and implementation methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.


• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in control systems engineering, with a strong focus on industrial automation.


• Expertise in programming major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB) and DCS systems.


• Proven experience with SCADA systems, industrial networking, and cybersecurity principles for control systems.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, ideally demonstrated in a remote or distributed team environment.
