About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Manager to lead their technical division in Sandton . This senior role involves managing a team of civil engineers and technicians, overseeing project delivery, and driving the strategic direction of the civil engineering department. You will be responsible for ensuring project profitability, client satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of engineering practice. This is a leadership position within a prominent engineering consultancy, offering significant influence and responsibility in the Gauteng region. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor a team of civil engineers and technical staff. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects. Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure profitable and timely delivery. Develop and implement departmental strategies, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations and client requirements. Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business development. Requirements Master's degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role. Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA. Proven experience in project management, financial management, and team leadership. Strong understanding of various civil engineering disciplines, including transportation, water, and structures. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
