Senior Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Warehouse Supervisor to lead their operations in Pretoria . This role demands a proactive leader with extensive experience in managing warehouse teams and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for supervising daily activities, implementing operational strategies, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse. This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring client satisfaction in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory control initiatives to maintain accuracy.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all warehouse personnel adhere to safety regulations.
• Optimize workflow and space utilization within the warehouse to improve productivity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS systems.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with forklift operation and other warehouse equipment is essential.
